Buildings never move
beyond window
they don't turn on

deep set in brain time
at the wrong way turn,
a misunderstanding,
each day a badge check

each day at lunch the same steps
same destination, same
everything--
almost every conversation, reference
God Almighty, god of numbers
god o' green,
each day a holy countdown,
calender day,
each day speak the name on your lips
