Rain Haiku and sentences

Rain came tonight
no warning
I had been asleep

* * *
there were shadows where my foot hung from bed

* * *
inside all day--
what does the weather know
that I don't?

* * *
Thinking of gray mountains
in the chilly north--
watching suits cross the street

* * *
in each rain drop time
                                     one part whole
                                                                beginning middle end

* * *
remember the last step
as it dries fades--
think where have you been?

4 telework haiku

what would a poem
by WB read like?
a Naked Lunch I think.

a bottle of america
on corner of my desk,
sand settles down

watching my cat sleep
listen to traffic crawl
reading next email

world out my window
further away today,
working from home

silly nighttime haiku

biting at my ankles--
your food bowl
empty

try to keep your eyes closed
with heart racing--
coffee mug half full

in this orange light
your grey silky fur
is green

blinking into the night
rain pangs on window screen
streaks across my desk

bathroom faucet drips
kitchen sink blip blips
bedtime music

2 Haiku

In my chair
steadily fading
into the past

30 years
accumulated dust
falls from the sky

Bus Haiku

Star over Parkway
invisible & clouded
by man's inventions

she's sweet
like all taken girls
like mine, alone, waiting

to each side
two seats, two bodies
headed north, estranged.

is it cold
in baltimore?
I'll never know

I'll never know
if it's cold
in Baltimore

In Baltimore
it's cold,
I'll never know

Snowy Alley

back-to-back
snowy forgotten alley
pungent street smells

lead with a haiku
not your face

lead with uh haiku
uh haiku, not your
snow storm hatter
sprinkled in remote
location swing, dance
recognize text read O-
C-R optical character
recognition (ABBREVIATED)
do a word search why don't ch--

not gone to back now we are
(anananagram)

what's it saymean probablynothing

so forget it all the meaning
say
all the meaning is in uh
ferse line

it's in the first line, see.

Notebook Haiku

empty cup
stained with coffee
table for one

The death of
one sad man
entertainment tv

if you sit still
long enough
words will find you

third cups
should be the last
Get up and GO!

White wall haiku

under stars
we walked
an empty street

the snow fell
as white crystals
under blank street lights

against your chest
I listened to the
emptiness in my head

walked out at dusk
the day had
passed me by

against the full moon
snowy streets blinked
my tea was frozen

two chairs alone
on a balcony
a wintry afternoon

drifting clouds
melting snow
construction hurries on

if i watch
close enough
the sky melts

from the window
a maze of concrete
no trees

there's a car somewhere
meant to carry us
to the end of the world

after everything is said
I'll wash my hair
in Pacific baptism

Quick Haiku while working

Ah, I am lost--
on a street
between street signs

          the sky was gray
          it was too early
          to remember it

my cats watch me
go--
indifferently

          I can't write
          any better at work--
          this is shit

Click of lock--
Quick! shut your
windows tight

          bowl of paper clips
          sharpened pencils-- ignore
          fluorescent lights bleating

workaday western hiaku

Billy Holiday
barely audible
I hear other voices

Intermittent hums
under olive hat--
day grows slower

socks rolled in
packed up shorts
forgot my shoes

hey tom,
there's no one watching
wake up!

Ground'll melt your shoes,
he says, Remember the last
RAIN?-- bummin' change.

go away
1978
there's too many of you

blue shirt guards
dumbly innocent
sneer at their lunches

on my compost heap
lunch box rests
a salad fork, a pea

Who knows anymore?
I'm tapping my way
to the grave

pretty soon we'll
all have ipad eyes--
NO BRAINS

Yep more while reading Endymion in the park

The trees are fall
and frost is winter
in the car I'm safe from all

A spider's abandoned web
sun's cold reflection
our silent thoughts are the past

No paper to capture
this mornings sunrise
only my weary eyes

Westernized Haiku :D

typing away lost poems
on my thankless computer
a night so dark

at midnight I wonder
what it's worth to wait
until one o' clock sleep

An angel of my mind
sleeps so beautifully
miles south and sunny

Whit curls up on the couch
in knitted blanket
I'm glad it's not the closet

More Western Haiku

my word is mountains
grown gray into the sky
and snow capped

Afternoon in the house
no light through my windows
no whispers

Western Haiku

Another spider
in dim lights invisible
an overpriced buffet

a misty October rain
footprints left in grass
where I walked alone

stuffed animal slumped over
sea foam green couch
and me without a seat

More Western Haiku

Felix the cat
smiles with no teeth
silently on walls

Day old iced coffee
draws rings on my desk
in the shade

There's no expiration
on an old blue moon
when it's empty and washed

black rusted pipe
on white reflective roof
a lonely arrow to heaven

In one hundred years
we'll graze like cattle
behind barbed-wire fences

Maybe when you go
to Paris in the winter
there's nothing to do but look

under my sleepy cat
a sheet of cardboard
an empty box crumbled

when you wake up at noon
no clouds and faded blue
sky has that afternoon look

I think of your body
in the cool breeze
tanned and warm to touch

above your smile is lovely
orbs of the void truth
crystal depths and black ocean

Western Haiku(s)

Jogging papers
reminded
of Inquirer Friday nights

A scanning sheet
per email lol
omfg forever

worn gloves
dry on radiator coils
winter rain outside

free of bowl
and spoon
soup boils on stove

My notebook
at the end
tattered ink

Quiet home
for six stuffed sardines
slow internet

I miss my cats
in Pennsylvania
far away

Without a title
rain drops in fall frozen
I mourn

Bright and early
lonely kitchen
sun streaked tiles

Early on in September
remember your birthdays
etched rainbow

maroon recliner
unwanted in corner
motionless sea

drowsy eyes
on subway travel north
doors close

one can of Yuengling
pop fizz flat
another night lush

My lamp casts
an empty light
onto empty room

She places boyfriend shoes
tired and dry
under creaking bed
