This is the second piece
that makes no sense because
you
haven't
read
the first
which is vanished into the blistery corners
of my brain
and
was really
meaningless anyway
and probably would have left you
even more confused.
Yes
feel
lucky
you're only reading the end
always feel lucky
about that.
I guess you could say ink and paper make the writer, and I guess that's why I choose not to use them.

there are things you hear and things you know
The guy that stole the
diamonds was 6 feet 4,
he had eyes and hair,
he passed me on the street
and slit my tires later that
night, I asked the newspaper
stand man on the corner a question
about immortality, the clouds were
a gray 17 degrees and dying,
he grinned and tipped his cap with
my car deflated in the street,
and the diamonds
got away

and slit my tires later that

Plea
They want what we don't have,
deep within the ground
where the sun dies a brilliant yellow-orange-purple,
blinding eyes
covered by elbows and hands
torn and old,
the dust is the skin
brown and tasteless
burning off in opaque tired rays
like a parched army navigating
dried rivers and mortal wounds;
I have nothing left.
deep within the ground
where the sun dies a brilliant yellow-orange-purple,
blinding eyes
covered by elbows and hands
torn and old,
the dust is the skin
brown and tasteless
burning off in opaque tired rays
like a parched army navigating
dried rivers and mortal wounds;
I have nothing left.
