where I walked away forever
drowning in frothy seas,
misty and sea-greened eyes
cast away from the shore,
cemented in a place
so close and gray with...
the distance falling backward to--
and from my sand heavy pillow,
tucked silently under your hair
I dreamt a dream that brought you back.
