Reserve Tank

down in that
combustion bucket
two rows of leather seats
automatically heated
34 miles of empty
road space gray lines
dried out shrubs broken
trees tornado winds
34 miles and nobody
nowhere but for cows
huddled in fields
not even a shoulder to
slowly crunch to a stop on

one simple

straight line

remote

curve-less

eternity
